Eric Northman is a hot vampire from the Southern Vampire Series. He is my favorite vampire in the series. He is described as viking like, tall, muscular and blond.
He owns Fangtasia a vampire bar and is also the sheriff of area five. He is a very old vampire and seems to have a thing for Sookie the telepathic bar maid. Of course every male in the series likes her, except the gay characters.
Eric is a powerful and dangerous vampire and that makes him just the kind of vampire I like. I had a different picture in my head of Eric the viking like vampire than the one above. I read 7 books before I saw True Blood and the series does not do him justice.
He has excellent business sense and he is not a vampire you want to be enemies with. He does have a poor sense of judgment in hiring bar staff. Other than Pam he often ends up with vampire staff that ends up being staked. Pam is his loyal offspring and she is also one awesome vampire.
Eric likes to be in control and he is ruthless, he almost always wins. He can fly and he is very strong and he will always be one of my favorite vampires.

Jacob Black is my favorite character in the Twilight saga. He is a 15 year old Native American in the first book. Bella’s father is friends with Jacob’s father. He lives in Lapush, a reservation near Forks.
He becomes close friends with Bella when Edward runs off and leaves her with severe case of depression. Bella finds that hanging around with Jacob helps her to feel better. Jacob develops more than just friendship feelings for Bella. Even though she tries to deny it Bella feels strongly for him as well.
This happens in New Moon the second book in the Twilight Saga. This is also the book where Jacob learns he is a werewolf. Jacob has trouble adjusting to his new life at first and pushes Bella away. Then shortly after they become friendly again Bella rushes off to save Edward. This leaves Jacob who has already saved her life a few times angry and alone.
Through the next two books Jacob matures and learns how too coexistent in Bella’s live but his personality doesn’t change. He still says and does some stupid things but he grows and learns from his mistakes which is why I like him better than the other characters.
He even overcomes his natural aversion to vampires and leads his own pack to protect Bella and her child. Jacob imprints with Bella’s child in Breaking Dawn, and has taken on a role similar to a big brother. He is a natural leader when he gets his emotions under control.
I would not be very interested in more books about Bella and Edward, but I would love to hear more about Jacob. I loved two of the books in this series. After the first book the thing that kept me reading was Jacob, I was never disappointed in his storyline.
Alucard was first introduced in a manga series and then played the staring role in Hellsing the anime series. He is my all time favorite vampire. He is the God of vampires, and as far as I can tell he is completely indestructible. I was introduce to him in the original Hellsing series but decided to do a little research on his background. I learned that the manga is more detailed than the anime. Going back to show more of the history that surrounds this magnificent character.
What do I like about Alucard you ask? Well what don’t I like, he can do everything and he can’t die. He can be staked, shot to a million pieces with silver bullets, and decapitated and still he lives. If you don’t believe me there is a scene where his fledgling, Victoria is walking around with his head, I am sure you can find a picture.
Alucard is around 577 years old and the most powerful vampire alive. He can shapeshift into anything he wants even hundreds of bats. He loves the fight so much he taunts his prey (did I say prey I meant targets), luring them into believing that they might just win, and then he slowly kills them. He longs for a worthy foe, but never seems to find one. He is not your typical romantic vampire, not sexy, not sweet, just a step away from pure evil.
He follows orders from the Hellsing organization as they control the key that unlocks all of his powers. His job is hunting vampires and getting rid of the ghouls they create. He is a rather arrogant creature with little regard to others.
He does however have some sort of sort of strange compassion for Victoria. She is a brave cop who voluntarily sacrifices her own life so Alucard can kill the villain vampire. She actually wants him to shoot through he to kill the bad guy, and of course he shoots. Then he turns Victoria into vampire. I highly recommend the series and when I get around to reading the manga I will review it.
