Bone Crossed

Bone Crossed the fourth book in the Mercy Thompson Series. Please be warned there is no way to write this review with out giving away a little from the last books.
Moon Called
Blood Bound
Iron Kissed

Almost immediately Mercy is sent a message from the Vampire Queen Marsiella. A burned up being resembling Stephan lands in her home. Marsiella knows Mercy killed Andre and knows Stephan helped. If that isn't bad enough Mercy's mom was already there giving Adam a once over when Stephan lands in her house. Adam and his pack feed Stephan until he is no longer a danger to others and move him to a wolf pen.

Mercy goes to work to find her shop with graffiti all over it and an odd set of crossed bones on the door. On top of that a college classmate reads about her killing her rapist and dating the werewolf alpha and decides she can deal with her ghost problem. Mercy talks to Bran and Adam and decides she will go check out the ghost thing while they work on a negotiation with Marsiella.

There is only one vampire in the area that Mercy will travel to so they all assume she will be safe. He is a powerful vampire that no one messes with. Well not Mercy she happens to sit across from him at dinner her first night out of town.

This book was a little thrown together for me there were a few plot lines like she was trying desperately to get one of her open lines closed. It didn't all feel like it worked together like her other books. Like she had to try to hard to tie some things together.

I wouldn't say I was disappointed the book was very entertaining. I actually listened to it on audio book again, they are really nice for when you husband needs all the lights off to play his video game. I am going to give this book four out of five stars. I still think it was worth the read just not as good as the last two books.
